Jeff Wright – General Manager, 1M
Jeff is a trade qualified HVAC Engineer with over 40 years’ operations, project management and management experience in the HVAC industry in Australia and New Zealand.
Jeff has a proven track record of building and developing high performing teams and delivering successful multi-million dollar projects by creating a continuous improvement culture with his teams.
Nathan Fischer – National Estimating Manager
Nathan is a trade qualified HVAC and Refrigeration Engineer with over 28 years’ experience from Site Management, Commissioning and Estimating both in Australia and New Zealand. He has vast experience across hospital, pharmaceutical and commercial projects.
Joel McDonald – Operations Manager – Construction
Joel has over 14 years mechanical HVAC experience, progressing from site plumber, to leading hand, foreman and Senior Site Manager. In 2023, Joel Joined 1M as Operations Manager for the construction side of the business. He is also part of 1M’s apprenticeship mentoring program and oversees the wellbeing and trade schooling of each apprentice.
Joel has worked on major projects including Royal Hobart Hospital, Mackay Hospital, Capital & Coast District Health Board Covid Readiness, Fisher and Paykel District Upgrades, Fisher and Paykel Stewart Building Upgrades and Commercial Bay.
Larry Zhou – Contracts Manager – Construction
Larry has over 18 years as a trade qualified engineer with expertise in systems design construction and commissioning with PS1,2,3,4 authority. He has successfully delivered projects totalling over $300m across industries including commercial, retail, education, hospitals, prisons and manufacturing.
Byron Keppler, Commercial Manager
Byron has over 16 years trade experience, having completed his apprenticeship and trade certification in the UK. Byron has a proven track record across the Auckland HVAC industry, effectively managing his team, optimizing resources and achieving delivery of projects on time and to budget.
Byron is currently focused on the development of the 1st Maintenance project and quoted service team.
Ilyas Eminoglu – Energy Management & Commissioning Manager
Ilyas has a level 7 bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering verified by NZQA and over 15 years’ experience in commissioning HVAC systems. His expertise lies in understanding HVAC and BMS, including assessing project requirements and analyzing existing HVAC setups. His exceptional system analysis and problem-solving skills are highlighted when investigating and troubleshooting HVAC systems.
Ilyas has successfully led his team in commissioning projects, ensuring optimal performance and validating systems. His commitment extends to continuous upskilling of both himself and his team and driving excellence in Building Energy Management.
Andrew Lum – Commercial Manager OCS Australia & New Zealand
Over his career Andrew has been involved in businesses including facilities management, manned security services and IT systems support. He has led ERP implementations and the creation of a manufacturing facility supplying products to ASEAN markets. His expertise is in operational and system improvements and working with senior management to create plans and strategy to increase productivity and financial performance.
Andrew rejoined OCS in June 2023 and is deployed at 1M to understand and review business processes and policies, and to identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
